16. "Excuse me. Where's the bank, please?" Sometimes, you may hear a question like this from a stranger (陌生人). Your parents might often tell you that strangers can be dangerous. What do you do then? What is the best way to keep you safe? (1)
Rule 1. When strangers give you food or other things to show they are friendly, say "No" to them. Some strangers may ask you about you and your family. (2)
When a stranger asks you to find his or her pet dog, go to his or her home, or wants to give you a ride, say "No" to them, too.
Rule 2. When you feel afraid around someone, don't talk to him or her. Sometimes, you need to trust your feelings. They might be warnings (警告) for you. You might not know why. (3)
Sometimes, it's just hard to explain (解释).
Rule 3. When you have a problem and your parents are not with you, try to ask police for help. When you meet a bad stranger, leave as fast as you can and go to a place with lots of people. (4)
