　　As John's wife becomes sicker, many of her friends come to visit her. The farmer kills the pig and uses it to make food for the visitors. Sadly, John's wife still leaves his husband in the end. The farmer kills the cow as a sacrifice (祭品) for her funeral. The mouse cries and watches all of this with great sorrow.
　　When we know that someone is in difficulties or danger, all of us can be at risk, too. It is better to help and encourage one another, but not to leave others alone with their problems.
