Wuyi Mountain National Park is known as "the kingdom of snakes", "the world of insects", "the heaven for birds", and "the key to the study of Asian amphibians and reptiles", Wuyi Mountain National Park has 558 kinds of wild vertebrates, 33. 27 percent of the types in Fujian province.

13. With the development of technology and the internet, there is a new trend in reading-audiobooks. More people are choosing to listen to audiobooks these days, according to this year's national reading report. The report was released by the Chinese Academy of Press and Publication (CAPP). It shows that audiobooks have become quite popular among most readers. One in three adults listen to audiobooks. They mainly use popular audio sharing platforms (平台) like Ximalaya. Kids have also been a main driver in the development of audiobooks. Ximalaya noted that the value of audiobook purchases made by those aged 13 to 18 in 2018 increased by 330 percent over that of 2017, the Beijing Evening News reported.
In addition, around 26. 8 percent of children under 8 years old listen to audiobooks. Most of them listen at least once a week. Their favorite categories are "stories for kids" and "poetry reading".

14. There are lots of dangerous and terrible insects in Northeastern India, but the tree-bees are the most terrible. They are killers. Unlike most bees which will sting (叮咬) you only if they are disturbed (打扰), tree-bees will attack (攻击) you in thousands for no reason. And they will chase (追赶) you for your life.
Walking along a dusty road while I was on holiday there last year. I found myself, without the least warning, the centre of such an attack. The air above me suddenly became thick with bees. Though it was hot, I went cold all over. Until then I had never heard of Indian tree﹣bees, but I had recently seen a film called "The Angry Swarm", which was about killer-bees.
I began running to the village about half a mile away, but I was soon covered from head to foot with bees. I drove them away with my hands, only to make room for others. Each time I opened my mouth for breath, more bees entered my mouth, until it was stung to twice its usual size and I could hardly breathe.
When I reached the village, I found some workers building a house. I ran towards them for help. But as soon as the workers saw the bees with me, they ran for safety at top speed.
Soon my eyes had completely closed. I fell into a pile of brick dust. I pushed myself wildly down into it until my head and shoulders were covered. And then I tried hard to get out of the dust, the angry bees made a new attack on me. I was tired out and ran weakly about in circles. Soon I lost my consciousness (意识).
Later I learned that two quick﹣minded villages ran to a pile of dry grass and quickly surrounded (包围) me with a thick wall of fire and smoke until the bees were driven away. They stayed with me, taking stings out of my body for the next three hours until a doctor came and gave me further treatment.
15. The American company Otherlab has built a new drone (无人机) which the company calls "Sky Machine".
Compared with other unmanned aircraft (无人机), the drone is very different. It is made almost completely out of cardboard. It can be packed with materials and sealed (密封) up with tape.
The drone looks like a big paper airplane that we used to make as kids. But this light flyer is not a toy, it was designed to be dropped from airplanes. Hundreds of drones could be launched at once and then they are guided to where they are supposed to go to complete deliveries (递送) to different places over an area covering hundreds of kilometers.
The company says it can travel about 150 kilometers at speeds up to 88 kilometers an hour. Now it can carry materials weighing up to one kilogram, but future ones are expected to carry heavier loads (负荷).
One of the drone's main advantages is that it does not have a heavy motor or large battery. This provides more room for materials and makes the drone cost less to build and work.
The technology that guides the drone can make it land within 10 meters of its target, according to Otherlab. And once the drone completes its delivery, ___△___ and the cardboard material will decompose (分解) within a few months.
Otherlab says the drones can also be reused. Otherlab has received money from the U. S. Department of Defense to carry out research on the drones. The U. S. military has a need for delivery drones. But the delivery drones they usually use can be stolen and studied by others if found after use. Before they can truly disappear, the electronic materials inside the drones must also somehow disappear. Otherlab's Sky Machine is an attempt to fill that need. Researchers are still working on ways to get the technology itself to selfdestruct (自毁).
