11．　　It was a Sunday afternoon. A girl was unhappy. She complained to her father about her hard life. There were so many problems! One problem wasn't solved but (1)      came. She wanted to give up.

I thought to myself, "If only we humans could love each other as purely (纯真地) as our dogs love us, what a wonderful world this would be."
　　Dogs are our best friends and greatest teachers of love. We should not forget their lessons. We should give our hearts freely and our love joyfully. We should live our lives on the side of love. We should spend our days creating happiness and making this world a better place. We should see everyone as our brothers and sisters. We should love ourselves and everyone else.

15．　　The start of a new school year can be an exciting but scary time. However, being brave and facing your fears with courage will help you to enjoy new experiences.
　　Feeling scared, worried or nervous about something is natural, especially when doing something that you feel strange, like returning to school after the holidays or studying in a new school. It helps protect you from danger. This is why you might feel your heart beats faster when you're scared or nervous. Fear can be helpful and even exciting — for example, when you're on a roller coaster (过山车) or watching a scary film — but sometimes you have too much fear and it stops you from trying new things. 　　Courage and being brave means different things to different people. Being brave can be about sharing worries and asking for help, trying something new or pushing yourself forward. 16．　　Quite often we can see many translators working busily for a big international meeting. However, a new invention has come out to help, which is called machine translation. Experts believe that machine translation is good enough to take the place of human translation in some ways. It will be widely used in five to ten years, as language－processing technology has made much progress in recent years. Zhou Ming, who is in charge of the Microsoft Research Asia, made sure of it in a speech in Beijing.
　　Machine translation faces lots of problems and challenges at present. Zhou added the difficulties that prevented it from reaching the standards of professional (专业的) translation. However, he also pointed out that several technology companies are now working on machine translation, and have already made great progress.
　　An American company introduced its translation system to the public in September, 2019. Besides, the science research team in British company said they had reached the highest accuracy (准确度)in machine translation by using new network technology, with a translating speed nine times faster than that of American's.
　　Zhou also said that language－processing technology could also be used in many fields, such as education, medicine, driverless cars and so on. In the near future, it will offer other kinds of help in people's life.
