Making Lists | To begin with, the teens should make a list of at least five things they like about themselves. This list can include things like their pretty smiles, or more important things like getting good grades. Each day they continue to make a new list in order to get the lists updated (更新的). The teens can turn to them when feeling sad. |
Superhero Capes (披风) | The superhero cape activity requires (要求) a large group of teens who know each other well. Give each teen a large piece of paper to make a cape. The teen's name should be put across his or her chest. The teens then walk around and write at least one positive (积极的) thing on others' capes. Finally, the teens view their own capes to see what others have written. |
Self-Respect Collage(拼贴画) | In this activity, the teens just read through magazines and cut out words or pictures that best describe their lives. These cuts might include words about their personalities, pictures of activities they enjoy doing, foods they like or jobs they long for. All the magazine cuts should be placed into a collage. |
Self-Respect Calendar | A self-respect calendar can help deal with stress. Give each teen a blank calendar at the beginning of the month. The teens then write down things they enjoy doing for each day. Activities might include playing a basketball game with friends, having a milkshake or reading one's favorite book. |
