2． Children in the USA like K Day very much. K is for kite. March 7^th is the day. On that day lots of children go out in the open air. They take their kites with them. Some kites are very big. Others are small. They are different colors. Every kite has a long string(绳). To get the kites to go up, the children begin to run. Now the kites are flying in the air. How nice they look!
All of the kites are high up in the air. One is like a bird. But what's wrong? It's flying away! The string is broken(断裂的).
More kites fly away. And the children are running after them. They want to get them back. People are watching them and laughing happily. (高兴的)

3． Bangkok(曼谷) is the capital(首都) of Thailand. It is very different from Guangzhou. There are may temples(寺庙) in Bangkok. It is hot all year round, so there are a lot of fruit. One of the most famous fruits is durian(榴梿). There are many rivers in the city, so the market on the water is very famous. You can buy flowers, vegetables, fruit and other things on the boats.
The best time to visit Thailand is at the end of March or the beginning of April, because it is the time of the biggest festival in Thailand﹣Water Festival. It is the beginning of their New year. Before the festival, people clean their houses and cook nice food. During the festival, people sing, dance and pour(倾倒) water on each other. They think that water can wash away bad things and bring good luck. How interesting it is!

4． Babul is from a poor country. He is a school boy. He is 15 years old. His birthday is coming. It is on April 3rd. He wants his mother to buy him a pair of shoes as a birthday present because he has no shoes. One day, Babul walked past a shoe shop at the street corner.        He was happy to see his favorite shoes.        When he had a look at his feet, he was sorry for himself.
He walked away and thought how to tell his mother about it. He knew she would give him the shoes if she could. But he also knew that his mother had no money.        "What should I do?" he thought.
       In the park, he saw a girl in a wheel (轮子) chair. The girl was pushing (推) two wheels with her hands. She was too poor.        He looked down at his feet. "Having no shoes is better than (比) having no feet. I'm luckier (幸运) than her, " he thought.
