16. If you think you are too shy and want to be a little outgoing, try the following. You can make it.
Be open to others. Tell people you are shy. There is no need to hide it. When they get to know that you are a shy kid, they'll understand you better. This also helps you feel more comfortable in talks.
Try to smile more. When you smile, people think you are friendly and easy to talk to. Remember that other people have feelings, too. Most people will stay away from an angry face.
Talk to others first. If you find it hard to start a conversation, say something nice about the people around you. Think about how great you feel when someone says something nice to you. Doesn't it make you want to keep talking to those people?
Turn your attention to somewhere else. Think more about ways to enjoy parties or the games. Don't worry about your looks or whether people like you or not. You will become relaxed and find it isn't so hard to talk with others.
Encourage yourself. Each time when you say "hi" or smile at someone, say to yourself "You did it!" Keep trying and one day you won't be shy any more when you talk to others.
17. Compared with other European countries, lifestyle in Italy is slower and more relaxing in its own way. Italians love to chat over a cup of coffee, go out for a walk in the middle of the day, and enjoy long lunches and dinners.
Family is important to Italians. They can't think of spending a day without asking about their parents or children, and a weekend without a family lunch or dinner. Italians living outside their country also miss their family a lot.
Italians like simple life. Their days start and end with a cup of coffee. A cup of coffee after every meal is a must. Italians love to spend time over a hot cup of coffee and even hotter conversation with friends. Topics are usually about family, football and politics (政治).
Sport is a very important part in the lives of many Italians. Football is their favorite sport. There are hundreds of football clubs with top soccer teams in Italy. Also, many top players from all over the world play in Italy. Volleyball is also popular and so is rugby (橄榄球), with the top rugby teams playing for the European Challenge Cup.
Many events happened in Italy in history. The Italian calendar is filled with national holidays that they love to celebrate.
18. Is human blood(血液)all the same?Of course not. Blood is made up of different parts, such as red blood cells, white blood cells and so on. Two chemical molecules(分子)on the red blood cells make people's blood different. Scientists mark one molecule "A" and the other molecule "B".
According to which and how many molecules are on the red blood cells, scientists divide blood into four types:A, B, AB and O. Your blood type will stay the same through the whole life. Scientists have found that people with the same blood type may have things in common.
People with type A: They look peaceful from the outside. But they ask so much of themselves that they may be very nervous inside. They become happy or sad easily. They can easily win people's trust.
People with type B: They have strong minds. Once they begin a task and make up their minds to do it, they will not give up easily. And they want to do things in their own way.
People with type AB: Maybe they are the strangest among all blood types. They can be both open and shy, noisy and quiet at the same time!
People with type O:They're open and good at making friends. They always begin tasks but don't always finish them in the end. They have lots of new ideas and they always strongly believe in themselves.

Statue: Do you still remember the day when the artist tried to work on you, but you refused?
