2.  Jack's love for birds started when he made his first bird feeder about six years ago. He filled the feeder with seeds (果实), put it in his backyard and then(1)      started coming. 3.  People play sports all over the world. In the USA, baseball and basketball are their favorite sports.

Basketball   You play basketball with a big orange ball. There are two teams with five players each. Both teams try to get points by throwing the ball into a basket, which is 3. 05 meters above the floor. You can throw, run and bounce the ball, but you cannot run and carry the ball at the same time. The winner is the team with more points after 40 minutes. 
4.  Amsterdam is the bike capital of the world. Biking is a fun and easy way of getting around in Amsterdam.
  Students go to school by bicycle. People ride their bicycles to work. Travelers ride1 bicycles freely around the city. Even the police work on bicycles. You can see these every day in Amsterdam. There are many roads and traffic signs (标志) for bicycles. There are also many places to park the bicycles. If you travel in Amsterdam, you don't need to take a bus or taxi. Just ride a bicycle. You can ride the bicycle along the roads and the streets enjoying the scenery(风景). The city has a lot of bicycle shops. If you do not want to buy a bicycle, you can rent(租)one. The rental companies are in almost every part of the city. Going for a ride is enjoyable, it's a good idea to find an experienced guide, because he would take you to some of the city's most beautiful places. Riding bicycles in Amsterdam is of great fun and relaxing. Just remember to follow the traffic rules.

(1)      I often fail to finish the reading test in time. There is not enough time and I feel very nervous.
(2)      I have some questions about my lessons. But I don't like to ask the teacher in front of my classmates.
(3)      I can't follow the tape when I am doing listening test because there are always some words I don't know.
(4)      I always forget the new words. Ever though I learned them yesterday I may forget them today when I open the book.
(5)      I don't dare to speak English with others though I know I'm good at it. 
A. Try to get the main idea of the tape and do not stop to think even when you hear some new words. You don't need to know every word in the passage.
B. How about asking the teacher after class?You can also write the questions down on a piece of paper and give it to the teacher. Maybe he will tell you the answer when he has time.
C. You can write words in your notebook and review them from time to time. Therefore, you won't forget them easily.
D. Do reading exercises in a given time. Try to read fast. You don't need to know each word.
E. Why not take notes by writing down key words and making mind﹣maps?It's easier for you to review what you've learned in class. You may explain the information to other students as well.
F. Listen to other carefully and write down what they say. It's a good way to practice your listening skill.
G. Don't worry about that. Try to speak English more with your close friends first. Once you can do it well talk with the others. I am sure you will make it.

7.  Tigers are strong and dangerous animals. But now they are in danger.
  In the past, there were eight kinds of tigers in the world. But during the 20th century, only five were left. The numbers of Siberian tigers was about 300, but now it is less than 22. They're in danger of dying out. If the government does nothing, we won't be able to see them in ten to twenty years.
  In order to stop people from hunting and killing wild tigers, and in order to make wild tigers more, the World wildlife Fund has started a program recently. China and twelve other countries joined it.
  However, it's not enough. Remember that nature is a food chain (链). If we hurt and kill too many wild deer and pigs, wild tigers will die out because of hunger. So the most important thing is to save the animals that tigers eat. In order to protect the wild tigers, we need to call on more people to stop eating, hunting and killing wild animals.
