1．　　Avanti worked in a zoo. There were many animals in the zoo, and Avanti's best friend was Ball, the bear. Ballu was big, brown and strong.
　　On Ballu's fourth birthday, Avanti prepared a (1)       for him.

3．London Transport Museum
　　London Transport Museum was set up in 1980. It brings to life the history of London's public transport network (公共交通网络) — its buses, trains, tubes and taxis, from the 19^th century to the present day.
　　The museum has two sites (地点) in London. The main site in Covent Garden is open to the public every day. It reopened in 2007 after a two-year repair. The other site, located in Acton, is known as the London Transport Museum Depot and is open on visitor days throughout the year.

4．　　The year of 2021's Nobel Prize in Literature was out! It went to 73-year-old A bdulrazak Gurnah from Tanzania.
　　Gurnah's works are mainly about refugees (难民). These people leave their countries because of wars or to find a better life. The Swedish Academy said his writings show us the lives of refugees in a kind way. Readers can see how colonialism (殖民主义) influences people through his works.
　　Paradise (《天堂》) is one of his most famous novels. It's about a boy called Yusuf from colonial East Africa during World War Ⅰ. Yusuf's father sells him to pay a debt (债务). As he travels, Yusuf sees war, disease and child slavery (奴役). In another novel, By the Sea, a man moves from Tanzania to England. We can learn about his past and the history of his country.
　　In fact, Gurmah himself was a refuge. When he was 18, he had to leave Africa and arrived in England. He said refugee problems are always with us. "People are dying, people are being hurt around the world — we must deal with these problems in the kindest way," he said.

5．　　It was a warm summer day and Alice was getting bored sitting beside her sister.
　　Suddenly, a little white rabbit with pink eyes ran in front of her shouting, "Oh dear, I'm late!" and then disappeared down a rabbit's hole. "I must find out why he's in such a hurry!" cried Alice. She ran to the rabbit's hole and looked into it. The hole dropped suddenly and Alice fell in.
　　Finally she landed in a hallway with doors of many sizes. On a table, Alice found a tiny gold key and a green bottle that said "DRINK ME". She drank it. Alice began to become smaller and smaller until she was no bigger than a doll. She opened a door and quickly ran through it. In front of her was a beautiful garden. "What an amazing garden!" she shouted. But the excitement soon disappeared.
　　"I want to be big again," she shouted. Alice went looking for help. Soon, she saw a green caterpillar (毛虫). He was sitting on the top of a large mushroom (蘑菇). "One side of the mushroom makes you big;the other side makes you small," he said to Alice. Alice ate a piece of the mushroom. "I'm growing!" She continued her walk.
　　In the middle of a field, the Queen of Hearts was playing croquet (槌球). "Have you ever played croquet?" the Queen asked Alice. "Yes," Alice answered. "Play with me!" ordered the Queen. "And let me win or I'll have your head!" . .. "Off with her head!" cried the Queen. Alice felt someone touch her head ...
　　"Wake up. You've been seeping for too long," said her sister softly.
　　"I had a strange dream," said Alice.

6．Online data outlives us all
　　You never think about it, but every day, we leave "footprints" online. We use email and online shopping accounts (账号). We download (下载) music, films and e-books. We post pictures on Sina Weibo and WeChat. These things make up our "digital legacy (数字遗产)" What happens to this digital legacy when we die?
　　Two kinds of digital legacy
　　In fact, there are two kinds of digital legacy. One kind is things that we buy with money, such as virtual coins (虚拟币) and games. As they are worth some money, we can pass them along to someone else. The other kind is personal information, like social media (社交媒体) or shopping accounts. Although you create these accounts, you don't really own them — internet companies do.
　　They just let you use them. For example, if you don't log in (登录) to your Taobao account within months, the company might close it. What can we do with our digital legacy?Some internet and tech companies are starting to help people deal with the personal part of digital legacy. Apple is testing a digital legacy service. With it, people can name friends or family members as "legacy contacts". The contacts can visit their Apple accounts after their death. This way, people can pass down photos, videos and other data.
　　Like Apple, Google will send your data, including emails and photos to 10 of your friends. Or you can just delete all of your data on Google.
　　Bilibili and Sina Weibo try to protect your accounts. If a person passes away, his or her family can inform (邇知) the sites about it. Later, the sites will freeze (冻结) the user's account. No one can log in to it, but the content (内容) will still be there.

7．　　There is a picture sitting on the desk in my room. It's a picture of my parents smiling together , in a peach garden (桃园). It is special to me because it's the first picture I too of them.
　　It was a weekend about twenty years ago. I was just four years old. (1)      There was a sea of peach flowers. My parents took a lot of pictures of me, of me and my father, and of me and my mother.
