　　The peanut plant produces many small yellow flowers. When the flowers die, their stems (茎) begin to dig into the soil in which peanuts grow. If the soil is too wet or too dry, many of the peanuts will remain stuck in the ground. After harvesting, peanuts are dried, then they are sent to factories where they are packaged as snacks or made into other products.
