•Start your talk with something fun. This usually makes your talk not too difficult. For example, you can ask them some questions about their life and work. They love this.
•Make it clear what you want to tell your parents. Only in this way can they get your meaning. If they don't understand what you say, don't be impatient. Try to explain it to them again.
•Show your respect (尊敬) by listening to your parents carefully and looking them in the eyes. If their opinions are not the same as yours, let them finish and don't stop them often.
•When you finish the talk, thank them for listening. Say something like "Thanks, that helped. " It will let them know this is important to you and make them to do it more often.
