You know, I'd love to be a professional (职业的) tennis player. It's such a fantastic life. You travel all over the world and you earn lots of money. I know you have to practise every day for hours and hours, but I wouldn't mind that.

14． Most American families like to have a vocation in summer. Summer is a good season for vacation. It is often hot in July and August.
Children do not go to school in those two months. Some people like to stay at home, read books, or watch TV without going to work. Many families take their lunch to eat at a place with many trees or a nice lake. Some people have enough time and money to travel to other countries. Many families travel by car or train to see interesting places in their own countries. Their favorite cities are New York, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Not everyone likes to go to busy cities. Some families travel to mountains or beautiful valleys.

People in China didn't celebrate New Year's Eve widely. The lunar New Year in February is a more important holiday. But some cities held (举行) countdown events. Beijing held an event with important guests at the Olympic park. The event looked ahead to the 2022 Winter Games, which will also be held in Beijing.
